Have no idea what to cook for Independence Day? Michelle Bernstein, a James Beard Foundation award-winning chef shared these tips to make a spectacular (and healthy) spread to celebrate!

Grab a few ears of corn. "Keep corn completely whole—the way you buy it—and put it on the grill," says Bernstein. It only takes 10 minutes to cook and will taste sweet and delicious.

Try seafood instead of chicken."Fish is my favorite thing to grill, make sure you have olive oil and a hot grill so it won't stick," she suggests.

Buy lean red meats. Filet mignon tenderloin is one of the leanest cuts of beef, but you can get the same great taste at a fraction of the cost by purchasing filet tips. "They're delicious and cook a lot faster," she says.

Bernstein also showed us how to prepare a tasty 4th of July menu with a twist. Her chorizo tacos may even out shine the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks! Watch the video for her recipe:
