Kneeling Underhand-Grip Lat Pulldown for Men
Kneeling Underhand- Grip Lat Pulldown
- Grab a lat pulldown bar with a shoulder-width, underhand grip. Instead of sitting in the machine, position yourself on your knees in front of it, your body forming a straight line from your shoulders to your knees.
- Pull the bar to your upper chest.
Tip In real life your lats work with your glutes, or butt muscles. However, when you sit, your glutes are "turned off." So kneeling keeps your glutes switched on, as they would be when you're walking or, say, doing a chinup. You won't be able to use as heavy of a weight, but that doesn't mean that your lats aren't working hard.
This move has been excerpted from The Men's Health Big Book of Exercises by Adam Campbell.
This Move Works:
Biceps, Glutes, Upper Back
