Megan Searfoss, a mother and athlete from Santa Rosa, founded the event in 2008 to celebrate the strength of women. 3. Fleet Feet Sports Mother's Day 5K

4. Moms Rock Run

Sponsored by a local elementary school, this race supports the city’s educational programs. The school with the most participants wins a cash prize for its PTO or PTA. Following the race, participants can refuel at an outdoor barbecue.
5. Kirkland Half Marathon

Moms in the mood for a challenge can take on this Washington half-marathon. For their effort, participants will be treated to picturesque views of Lake Washington. Runners in the mood for something short and sweet can register for the 5K instead.
