Rainy days should be used to tackle projects you’ve been putting at the bottom of your to-do list, says Christine Eisner, author of Comfort Living. If the contents of your medicine cabinet are gathering dust, it’s time to clean house. “Throw away anything that’s expired or just taking up space,” says Eisner.
Why it’s healthy: When stored in a damp bathroom, medicine and supplements can lose their effectiveness before their expiration date. So toss anything that’s close to its use-by date and opt to store your new purchases in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, like the linen closet or kitchen cupboard.
