Try It: The Pilates Hundred
To work a few Pilates moves into your core-ripping routines, Burwell suggests starting with Joseph Pilates' most iconic move, the Pilates hundred. To do it, start lying on your back with your legs straight, and your arms at your sides. Use your core to lift your head and upper spine off the floor. Keep your legs pinned together and extend them in the direction of your feet (the closer your legs are to the ground, the more difficult the rest of the exercise will be; you can also make it easier by bending your legs into a tabletop position). In this position, extend your arms straight down your sides so they're a few inches off the ground. Keeping your arms straight, pump them up and down, breathing in and out with each pump. Pump them up and down 100 times to complete the exercise.
