Garland Pose

This deep yogic squat stretches the hip flexors and ankles and activates the groin, abs, back, and quadriceps. Unfortunately, no one looks good popping a squat.

Verdict: There’s a better way. The side lunge has the same effect on the glutes, abs, back, and hip flexors, says White, who recommends performing the move without weights unless you’re an intermediate or advanced exerciser.
